Celebrate National Library Week at the Jamestown Library The Jamestown Library will celebrate National Library Week by hosting a reception on Saturday, April 19th from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. There will be light refreshments and activities for children. Please come out and visit the library. The all-volunteer library is located at 7600 Highway 41 next to town hall. Please call Chris Pipkin at 257-2233 for more information or if you are interested in volunteering. Hell Hole Swamp Festival - Jamestown SC A family event established in 1972 with children's games, adult tobacco spitting contest, softball tournament, horseshoe pitching, arm wrestling, beauty contests, parade, talent contest, exhibits, arts and crafts.One unique event of the festival is the Hell Hole Gator Trot 10k, colloquially called the Redneck Run. Brown at mdb1237@aol.com Spring Tea The Macedonia Community Action Project is sponsoring a Spring Tea on Saturday, May 31, at the Oak Grove PH Church Family Worship Center located on Hwy. 17-A in Macedonia. The time scheduled for the tea will be 3-5 p.m. Mrs. Ann Propst from the Berkeley County Historical Society will be the guest speaker.
